it is a bright and sunny day in new york city! i am sitting at the fun imac john (revlon john- the boi in new york city) has staring out a massive window looking at reconverted warehouses which have all been turned into funky lofts. i'm actually in a super-funky 2800 sq. ft. loft which is just unbelievable. it's ultra-minimalist with sparse furnishings and even very little art work.

the visit is going very well. i got to toronto yesterday morning and reconnected with a city i still have so much love for. went to caban, had a starbucks and then went to milestone's for brunch. it was so great to see john (waterloo john- my best friend)

got into new york city after quite the lengthy conversation with the u.s. customs agent in pearson. john and i just mellowed for a bit, corked a great bottle of wine (reminder to self: Estancia Merlot, 1997, Alexander Valley), ate some good cheese (soft brie and asiago, however, he enjoys blue which is just grous), and then went out to dinner at a fun little spot in chelsea.

this morning he's at an unplanned board meeting at work and then we're off to a taping of.... the ricky lake show! yes, i know, pure white-trash, pure cheese- but hey, we're in new york city and we might as well do something fun.

i'll report more later but i have to go get my seven wives ready as well as perfect that "non-showered" look for the taping :)
