thank god it's the weekend! not that i don't love my job but saturday mornings of coffee and books just need to happen more often than once a week. i'm heading to the cottage tomorrow which will be a nice break from the ordinariness of work. right now, i'm working on a project at work which will last for, basically, the entirety of july and august. that essentially means that i will be doing the same thing for an entire month- can you read the glee and excitement in that statement? :)

sunday i think we're going for sushi and then checking out trevor's show at the fringe. i love that winnipeg is the hidden cultural centre of canada- so much going on and so much to do. that should be news to all you central canadians who think that god and everyone else in the world has a 416 area code.

in distressing news, word has it that the canadian millennium scholarship foundation is going to release a study next month which shows that they can't find a link between accessibility and tuition rate. they can't not find one either- there study is just inconclusive. that's not good news for the war on tuition though nor is it good news for the mentality of the canadian public which continues to think that students are just whiny and that there really isn't any problem affording university. yeah, right- i'm sure that $5500 a year is just sitting in every 19 year old's back pocket or trust fund!
